This is one of our favourite city centre cafes. Tucked into the modern glass extension of the gorgeous John Rylands Library on Deansgate, this place manages to be welcoming and cosy, whilst still beautiful and serene. It’s a great place to eat local, traditional food whilst watching the world go by or reading the paper.
Whilst we waited for our food I took Ellie on a little tour of the fabulous gothic reading room – trying to spot the dragons that are synonymous with this building. Another highlight was the wonderful wooden automaton in the shop depicting Mrs Ryland taking tea with a dragon – our kids were fascinated by it!
