There is a diverse range of museums and galleries to visit and enjoy in the region, with important and varied collections ranging from priceless Lowrys to Maradona's football shirt! Most are free and in the holidays offer terrific family activities.

Tucked away in the Northern Quarter of Manchester city centre is the Greater Manchester Police Museum. There are loads of dressing up clothes and handling items such as police helmets.
