Coriander has been serving mouth-watering fresh Bengali and Indian cuisine to customers in Chorlton and Withington for ten years; in 2013 they opened a third restaurant in Chorlton Centre.
The new restaurant is a little glitzier and more spacious than the others but there is still a relaxed friendly atmosphere, and most importantly the food is still amazingly tasty. We’ve visited a few times, early evening, with other families. It’s often busy but the staff are always quick to make space for little ones, shuffling tables for prams and bringing out highchairs.
The food is freshly prepared so best to get your order in pretty quickly and then you can relax, munching happily on their delicious poppadoms while you wait for your meal.
Of course most mums, dads and kids will love the fodder on offer; but I think even the most fussy little eater will find something to entice their palate. Mine chomped their way through a pile of tikka lamb chops before polishing off a shared portion of chicken Casa.
Coriander is rightly proud that their food is free of MSG and artificial colourings, and low in saturated fat. If you have children who appear to react adversely to additives, as I have, then you can let them tuck in here without worrying.
There isn’t much in the way of parking immediately outside but plenty around on neighbouring side roads.
Mon-Fri 5pm till late, Sat&Sun 4pm till late.
