This six acre colourful site within the Pleasure Beach has 12 rides themed according to your favourite characters. It is possible to combine this part of the park with a visit to the main Pleasure Beach. You can also buy wristbands for Nickelodeon Land only. Our boys were irrepressible, heading straight to SpongeBob’s Splash Bash where they took huge delight in manning the onboard water guns. All of us were soaked within an instant, a fact which thrilled the boys.
Fortunately, getting dry was as much fun as getting wet: we all stood in front of a large dryer, limbs outstretched.
Next up was Dora’s World Voyage which delighted Felix so much, he went around the world three times in succession.
This was followed by Avatar’s Airbender – spinning and soaring through the air on a giant disk, and the Blue Flyer – a roller coaster they could ride unaccompanied. The Rugrats Lost River is a fun flume ride where you look for the Temple of Spoon.
Nickelodeon Land was a real hit for our boys. They spent the day running from one ride to another, only pausing when they spotted a Nick character off the telly… SpongeBob being the star attraction. The park is just the right size for younger kids. We were able to do everything in a day, including multiple trips on favourite rides, and have a pretty decent lunch in the Big Pizza Kitchen.
