If you love water slides, then this is the place for you! With more than 30 different rides, there is something for young and old alike. On first arrival, the place did feel slightly tired, but that was soon forgotten once we got stuck into the thrill of the rides.
Our two favourites were the multi-lane slide where you can race each other to the finish, and the water roller coaster with its 375ft of ups and downs. With the Black Hole Flume, Python Flume, and the Space Bowl where you plunge into deep water at the end, there is plenty to keep any adrenalin junkie child or adult amused.
Whilst our seven-year-old went off with his dad, exploring the extent of their bravery; our four-year-old enjoyed pretending to be a frog on floating lily pads, part of the park’s assault course. There is also a small toddler area with gentle slides and a pirate ship with climbing nets, buckets and jets of water everywhere! We loved getting swept along and jumping waves in the beach effect wave pool. If you do get chance to relax, there’s a Jacuzzi, bubble pool and lazy river ride to take advantage of. Needless to say, we had no such joy!
There’s plenty of poolside seating, where many parents, armed with reading attire, watch their older children happily swimming with friends. Poolside, there is also a café selling fast food and drinks; although we ate in ‘Subway’ by the entrance, once we’d changed back into our clothes. There is also a small soft play area for the very young in the entrance hall and a shop selling swimming essentials. WaterWorld run an Aqua Disco (Fridays 6-9pm) where you can swim and dance in time with the music! All in all, it is a fun-filled morning or afternoon out, and a surefire hit with kids.
